Clearcut (Blu-ray)

ClearcutLabel: Severin FilmsDescription: From émigré director Ryszard Bugajski - whose infamous debut feature INTERROGATION enraged Poland's Communist regime - comes the 1991 Canadian shocker that's been called undeniably provocative (Blu-ray.com) seriously compelling (Rock! Shock! Pop!) and remorselessly disturbing (The Los Angeles Times): When the pacifist lawyer for an Indigenous tribe fails to protect their land against the racist owner of a lumber mill both white men will be forced by a rogue Native man (Academy Award® nominee Graham Greene of DANCES WITH WOLVES) into a wilderness nightmare of violence vengeance and supernatural horror. Ron Lea (PUNISHER: WAR ZONE) Michael Hogan (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and Floyd Red Crow Westerman (THE DOORS) co-star in this expression of cinematic rage (Mondo Digital) now restored in 4K from a 35mm answer print.
